Cape Blanco : In Dec 2001, Kari and I went to the coast and stayed in a cabin on Cape Blanco. Cape Blanco is the furthest west you can go in the continental United States. We arrived in the middle of a fierce storm. The next day it cleared. We had camp breakfast, walked along the coast and visited a light house.

Chicago October 2000 : Kari and I flew out to Chicago for Tommy and Elaine's wedding. We both were in the wedding. We stayed at my mom's house. She cooked a big dinner for the family. One of the days, we took a ride to downtown Chicago. We went to the lakefront, the aquarium and the new navy Pier.

Grandpa's 75th Birthday : Kari and I went to Chicago for Grandpa Chiapetti's 75th birthday. It was a surprise visit. We had a great dinner at Mama Luigi's resturant. Grandpa was surrounded by family members; cousins, sister, nephews, neices, sons, grandkids and great grandkids.It was a special time.

Joan & Bob March 2001 : In March of 2001, Kari and I went up to visit Joan and Bob. We stayed at Gig Harbor the first night in a motel over looking the harbor. The next day, we went to visit Kari's sister Lisa, husband Larry and her son Kyle. Then we drove to Joan and Bob's house. We stayed there a couple of days. We saw elk right in their backyard. When we left, we stopped in Portland to visit one of Kari's friends and then we came home via the coast. We camped at Bullard's Beach on the coast in Bandon Oregon.

Ludlum House : The Ludlum House is on the Winchuck River in Kalmiopsis Wilderness. We stayed there two nights. It was a log house with a woodstove . No electricity or running water. So it was basically camping without a tent. We spent a few hours on the Oregon coast at Harris beach in Brookings Oregon. Also we had lunch one day at Smith River Beach along the smith river at the jumping bridge.

Mt. Ashland B & B : Kari and I spent a night at Mt. Ashland's Bed and Breakfast. It is about 4000 ft up the mountain. We had beautiful views from the room, hot tub and front of house.

Spring Break 2000 : We stayed at a beach house for spring break. We went with a couple of the wrestling families: The McCleans and the Gentry's. We had a privrate beach and a hut tub that over looked the ocean. We had campfires on the beach, football games, lots of food and walks.

Weasku Inn : This is the lodge that Kari grew up in. Her family ran a rafting and fishing business. They sold the lodge in the 90's. We stayed in one of their cabins on the river (May 1999). They are beautiful.
